The Friends community mourns the passing of Ann Sullivan, mother of David ’95 and Andrew ’98, cherished former board member, administrator, beloved English teacher, colleague, and friend. Ann was a pillar of the community, holding multiple roles and making an indelible impact on generations of students during her 27-year tenure. She was a mentor and role model for countless teachers and alumni, always showing unwavering dedication, love, and care. Her vibrant passion, abundant wisdom, and deep commitment to Friends will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11 in the Meetinghouse. Details to follow.

In 1999, Ann established the Ann Sullivan Fund for the Teaching of English Language and Literature. The purpose of this endowment is to fund initiatives and programs proposed by members of the English Department every year in perpetuity. To make a gift in Ann’s memory, click here.
